Excerpted from “Moments” begun the winter of 2013
On a cold snowy evening in Vermont I sat on my big green leather couch, snacking and staring out across the frozen garden. My abandoned ratty green sweatshirt slipped to the floor and a FLASH of thought hit me..that sweatshirt was the last thing I could remember my ill husband wearing shortly before he died. I wanted to remember that memory and the feelings swirling around me so quickly found an old used envelope with the brown circle of a spilled coffee cup on it and began to write. ……
